The Count
Turn blackjack into a skill you can measure.
Master perfect play, keep the count under pressure, size decisions intelligently, and practise every part of the game in one private, self-paced course. Built for repetition, not passive watching.
What mastery feels like
Know the right move before doubt arrives
- Play every hand perfectly without thinking. All 360 decisions — hard totals, soft hands, pairs, surrender — fast enough to hold a conversation while you do it.
- Count a deck down in under twenty-five seconds. Accurately, in pairs, cancelling as you go, with speed controls that rise as your focus improves.
- Read a table in ten seconds. Recognise payout, penetration and the soft-seventeen rule before you commit to a seat.
- Convert to a true count and size the bet before the deal. From a ramp matched to the money you actually have, not the money you wish you had.
- Build a disciplined bet ramp. See how bankroll, unit, spread and table conditions change the plan in real time.
- Take the deviations that matter. Insurance at plus three, sixteen versus ten at zero, and the rest of the Illustrious 18 — drilled until they are reflex.
What's inside
The whole thing, in order
Twenty-four modules, written as continuous prose
From the mathematics that make blackjack decisions measurable, through perfect basic strategy, the effect of removal, Hi-Lo, the true count, bet ramps and Kelly, the Illustrious 18, wonging, legality and heat, team play, and what the whole thing looks like over time — then six further modules on how prepared players plan and review sessions. Around three hours of reading, written to be read rather than skimmed.
Eight trainers you actually practise on
A count trainer at four speeds with a burn-in mode. The full strategy grid with a hidden-grid quiz that tracks your personal weak spots. A deck estimator that scores your error and tells you whether it would have changed your bet. A true count calculator. A bet ramp builder. A deviation drill for the Illustrious 18 and Fab 4.
A capstone simulator that grades you four ways
Play a complete six-deck shoe hand by hand: count it, size every bet from your ramp, play correctly, take the deviations. At the cut card it reports your count accuracy, strategy accuracy and bet-sizing accuracy — then separates how much of your result was skill and how much was variance. Almost nothing else teaches that difference.
A hundred and thirteen questions and a timed final exam
Every module ends with questions that always show the full written explanation, right or wrong — the explanations are where the learning happens. The exam is forty questions drawn from the eighteen modules of Part One, scored, with a downloadable certificate at eighty percent.
Fifty-six drills set between the paragraphs
Not a wall of reading with a quiz at the end. Small drills sit inside the prose — tag five cards, run a count across a strip, convert to a true count, size a bet from your ramp, call a hand against an up card. Most of them deal a fresh problem every time, so a module can be worked rather than read once.
The Field Manual — six modules for disciplined real-world preparation
Part One builds the complete counting skill. Part Two shows how experienced players evaluate real floors, protect longevity, organise a bankroll and understand the wider family of advantage techniques. Every module carries its sources.
Why it works
Every lesson ends in something you can do
Explanation becomes practice, practice becomes feedback, and feedback tells you exactly what to repeat next.
All 360 basic-strategy decisions are verified against the stated game rules. Trainers generate fresh hands, remember your weak spots and explain the correct answer instead of merely flashing red or green.
The result is a course you work through, not a video library you promise yourself you will revisit. It runs offline, stores progress on your device and remains yours permanently.

Questions
Before you ask
Who is this course for?
Anyone who wants to understand blackjack as a learnable decision system rather than a collection of hunches. No previous counting experience is required.
Do I need to be good at maths?
No. The count is adding and subtracting one, followed by a simple division. The trainers build speed gradually, so the arithmetic becomes automatic through use.
What exactly do I get?
Twenty-four modules, eight interactive trainers, fifty-six inline drills, a graded six-deck simulator, one hundred and thirteen explained questions and a timed final exam.
How does the offline format work?
You receive one self-contained file. Double-click it to open the complete course in any modern browser. There is no installer, account or internet requirement, and your progress stays on your own device.
Can I read some before buying?
Yes. The first four modules are free, including the interactive Basic Strategy Grid and quiz mode. No email address is required.
What if it is not for me?
You have 14 days to request a full refund, with no questions asked.
What are the practical boundaries?
The course teaches mental card counting without devices or interference with the game. It also explains casino policies, jurisdictional differences and responsible play so you can make informed decisions.
